Thank you CntryBoy777! I've come to find out Poke berry Poke salad and Poke weed are all the same thing. What worried me was that i read it was absolutely fine, no bad comments on the plant being given to the goats, and then when i actually gave it to them and checked again, all i saw was "DON'T GIVE THEM IT! IT'S SUPER TOXIC!" "POISONOUS POKEBERRY" "DON'T LET THEM EAT THIS", and after i saw all that i raced outside and took it from their pen.. (i gave them some apple slices afterwards), Made this thread so by the time someone read it, i might see what the majority of the people say, so if it turned out to be truly harmful, someone might have commented what to do.

I can't even begin to express how it felt to have so many people willing to care enough to share information, tips, and their opinions on what to do.. Blessed to be apart of this community.

Glad that it all worked out for you (and the goats) :D I wouldn't worry about giving it to them again, like anything else, in moderation. I probably wouldn't temp fate though and keep the roots away from them. I've given mine tree limbs (for the leaves) and there's one tree that they really dislike... they sample but won't eat. Others, like sweet gum, they devour like a kid with candy. They actually fight to get the best munching spots among the branches. And when done with the leaves, they strip and eat the bark. :ep I have an 8' tall, 15 foot wide burn pile of branches outside their pen area. I hope to get that taken care of while my son and his family are here :)
