Smitty was a fabulous dog. He did everything I needed him to do and often was a step ahead of me. He was a dog I rarely needed to check on or look for. He didn’t pick fights but could handle himself. He rescued his partner who was being drowned by a raccoon at 2a then finished it off. He adapted easily to indoor life and would return to the pasture happily. He worked readily with any of the other dogs, no squabbling or separating. I will miss his booming bark and happy expression. I wish he’d lived long enough to help start a pup but the Almighty had other plans. Til we meet again Smitty, boop Bailey for me.

Well, someone has to guard those pearly gates and all the cloud sheep up there. God needs a lot of perfect LGD's. I'm sorry for your loss.
