It was a mowing kinda day. 👍👍
Mine is a smaller scale, but I haven't had a chance to do it for about 2 weeks! Eva had been working on a couple of sections, so it wasn't terribly thick & tall... but it was really rough to push the mower through because of all the deep hoof prints. Oh well. Took about 5hrs but it's all done for now.

Yeah, now I just need to see if I can get to the yard and all that... Cannot believe how much difference this rain has finally meant to the grass... it seemed in shock and got a little green 3 weeks ago... but in the last week it said HE// YES, after 3+ inches in the past 10 days...I have NEVER seen butternut and striped crenshaw squash vines grow like these are... literally they are growing a foot a day...
Our corn looks SOOOOOO good... and we thought it was going to be a total loss...

It will be time to cut a second cutting sooner than we thought possible. ..

Tuesday aft.... Got up at 4:30, DS and I left his house at 5:15 and headed to the hospital to pick up the disc with the milogram images... because the Dr office at VA sports medicine is not on the same system as the hospital, so they can't access on line... :th :th . Went to Rural King for a little bit since it was only 15 min to the dr office... but you never know if you are going to run into traffic and stuff going down, so we allow plenty of time....
Got to the dr appt at 8:00 for 8:15... he was in there for about an hour as usual... and the manipulation makes him sick to his stomach.... so not feeling great. Then went to a workman comp lawyer he has been talking to... to decide what direction to go.... because when the short term disability runs out, whether he is going on long term, or go back to work for a little bit then take early retirement... or find another state job, where he does not have to deal with wearing a hard hat that makes the headaches soooo bad.... so he can get his 5 more years in for full retirement.... Complicated... but drs and others have told him to protect himself... going to long term disability will make him eligible for his full retirement... but he is going to be very limited in what he does and all that...and they will be watching him to see if he is doing things they do not "allow" and try to "break him"... It is complicated and very f***ed up......

So, in the process and discussions, I goofed. I did not go up on the hill behind the row of trees in field #1, and bush hog it... I thought he had cut it for hay along with the other strip... I told him I would get it done... I never thought to go up there... So, we stopped to eat on the way home... then he dozed for most of it...
Got here and he took the truck he left here when he took the explorer to get the AC worked on... no sense in it sitting in the yard. It needs that part I got for the oil leak seeping out, so hopefully will get it done. Whenever the explorer is ready, I can take him home when it comes here; actually he probably will take me to go get it since there is nothing else that needs ac work right now :fl:fl:hide:hide; so won't be trading vehicles like the last couple of times.

It rained some while eating, and then driving home, plus it had rained up here earlier, seeing the wet areas.....but after being home a bit the sun came out and the air is clearer and not so humid. SO.... I went up and got on the tractor and finished the upper field that I forgot. So that place is now DONE....

I got back home; and really should go out to do something with the mower. But I have to get the meters washed up and all loaded in the back of the car for the calibration on Thursday. Have several that I need to pull out separate that need some fixing... replacing some stuff... they are getting older and the plastic gets brittle. Should pull them apart and do the insides of the valves but I make sure they run the wash/rinse water out through the valves, before I pull the hoses off them and off the lines, so they should be decent...I just don't feel like tearing them all apart one by one... but I should. Maybe tomorrow I will.
The radar was showing some serious storms developing this afternoon late, but now they look to be dwindling to not much. Maybe I will go out and get some of the meters checked over and in the back of the car, and then do the rest tomorrow. Grass is wet and not going to pull the mower out now. I don't feel like going into the garden with the wet either... or pulling weeds this evening. It looks like it will be drier tomorrow once the sun comes up.

I’m thinking a different state job. Then he won’t have to give up the things he can do, the cattle and haying. There is no way to hide that and his bosses would love to screw him over.

Yeah, the possibility of a different type of state job is in the radar. BUT... they cannot stop him from the farming of his own land... Already checked into that. Especially since it has been ongoing and not something "new" that he is trying to use to get around anything... And because he can stop and go to the house or whatever if the headaches get too intense and such. That is documented with when he has left work due to the headaches and all... He has boxes of stuff that is documented. The farm income may have to go in my name for the 5 years that the long term disability would be in effect, then when he hits "full retirement" he would have to take that, instead of the disability and that is fine too. Just trying to figure out the better way to go for the next 5 years... and the actual "spelling out" of the disability and some other stuff... you know how they like to get you on technicalities on things to deny you. There are some things that were not "recorded" by the workman's comp in the beginning, and all the drs documentation from the injuries from the beginning, that are at the crux of this also... because of how it was NOT recorded in workman's comp for the head injuries/concussion etc and listed only as spinal fractures.... yet from the get go the doctors treatments are for head trauma...
Incompetence on the workman's comp in the beginning...
He has to be very careful right now, not to seek out different jobs as they could push him out and he could lose the disability status... Such a f$#@% up mess....he has been talking to a couple of friends about some other jobs that they do for the state... just to get a feel for what might be available.... but not actively "looking".

All the while that the headaches are getting worse.... and he is starting to feel like he is "lacking" by not working... the work ethic thing... because he has always worked and now he is feeling diminished because he does not want to accept that maybe he "can't"..... although he has said that the headaches are not as bad in some ways since the stress of work is not there... of course the stress with the X gf is still there... she has gone off on a tangent and is being outright hateful... one of his friends called while we were on our way home and asked what the h*** was her problem with the childish posts she had made on facebook.... like a 15 yr old girl that had been "slighted"... tantrum like stuff... and yet DS cannot seem to accept that she is such a dual personality, selfish, immature, self centered witch. He said it hurts to think that her daughter (just turned 14) will be reading that sort of thing that is out there for the public to see...... and that xgf has gotten downright mean with the latest medication that the drs have her on... she did this once before with some other stuff she was on for depression and stuff....
Why does he has to feel like he can "fix" her by bending over backwards and being the "perfect" boyfriend??? It is just sooooo SAD is the only word I can find.

Wed morning... 69 to start. More sun than actual clouds, but we are getting that hazy stuff from the smoke from the wildfires out west. Low alert for people sensitive to air quality. Slight possibility of some showers all the rest of the week...
Going out to get more meters out, and washed etc to put in the car. One farmer contacted me about testing Sunday eve... it is their weekend to milk... so that is set up. Still have 2 that haven't gotten back to me and the 500 cow herd is due again... Plus tomorrow is the first of the month, so starting all over with the list of farms for the month....
Made arrangements to pick up milk for the house on the way home from meter calibration tomorrow afternoon...
Will see how the day unfolds.

If the farm income is in your name, that might be seen as some sort of fraud. Be careful about that. Can the farm income can be in his name as long as he is hiring people (you) to work the farm?

At 14 years, with the aouint of time he has spent helping to raise the XGF's daughter, as well as time spent with XGF's sister's kids, surely the daughter will realize tht there is something wrong with her mother not him.

Really a shame he is going through this. Hope the lawyers and doctors can determine full disability to preserve his retirement.
