My sheep are now wannabe goat and I can not contain them in their enclosure. They are constantly jumping over the fence. They have a huge area and enough things to jump on and off of. They are 2 months to a year old. We have doubles up their fences but you all said I ned to meme my fences higher. My fences are 4 and a half feet high. How high should my fences be?

Virginia is for Pasture Farmers!
Fix why they are escaping. No food? You give treats so they're trying to find you?
Add very hot wire to the top to add height.
You sure they're jumping and not just going through holes?

Also, what breed? Some are more athletic, wildy types that easily pop over 5ft fences for fun.

We watch them jump the fences on The cameras. Our fences are 4 and a half feet high. We only give them Cheerios when we are trying to get them in their building. They don’t go anywhere. They just sit in our backyard. Monday I got home from school and I do what I always do after school, walk to my backyard and go say hi to the sheep. Happy was just sitting in our backyard happy as a clam. He when back in to his pen with no trouble. I am just worried that they might wonder into the road. We keep them far away from the road but I am worried. I am trying to get permission to put a fence on the edge of our property so non of our animals can get onto the road.
