At one point we had all of those things! Working 60 hours a week and DH working 50 we cut way back. It was just to much.
Well that is true is it not? You feed them whether they work on your place or across town but they don't get money from you. The "room and board" doesn't count as "pay", it is an entitlement of being born to you. I bet my kids aren't the only ones with such an attitude.My boys would (understandably) rather work at the farm across town where they get "paid" for their efforts, since somehow fresh, home-grown food doesn't count as pay. I only counts if it's cash in-hand.
