What is the target weight for breeding first fresheners when it comes to Nigerians? I know I read 85 lbs for the standards somewhere...

40-50 lbs generally - we breed jrs on appearance rather than weight - they need to look mature and open through the hindquarters.

I don't breed my Nigis until they are between 15 to 18 months old... no matter what size they are (later if they are still smaller). My thought on this is that they are still growing themselves through that time period so I want them to put their energy to becoming the healthiest adult possible.

I'm having a hard time visualizing this. How does one determine if a jr. doe fits the desciption?
