Well, after sort of thinking about it for a couple of years and then really thinking about it for a year and then planning it for a few months...yesterday I put a deposit on some goats! I'll be getting 3 Alpine goats. A doe, a doeling, and buckling. Well, he'll be wethered when I get him. So, I've got a lot to learn.

I'm very excited and nervous. Be on the lookout for lots of questions coming along!

That's exciting! Be sure to post pictures of your goats once you get them. We love pictures around here. :D

:welcome and the addictive world of goats. Started in 2012. I now have 4 adult Dwarf Nigerian does, 1 wether, 3 doelings, 2 Pygmy/Nigerian cross doelings, 2 soay sheep and 2 LSG's. Great Pyrenees. Saturday I am picking up another Nigerian doeling and a wether. Depsoit has been made on a buck from last years kids, to be picked up in October. Saturday I will be putting a deposit down on four more, 2 doelings, a buck and a wether. looking into also purchasing a pet quality buckling. Addictive.............oh yeah!!!!
