Should I filter the milk if I use a pump? It looks clean after I pump and I can't really find any info on it on google. Just would like to know everyone else way of doing milking procedures after pumping.

I would! Use real milk filters instead of coffee filters. You would be surprised at what can get thru coffee filters. I tested it once because so many use them (coffee filters). The results were disturbing, I couldn't believe how much debris would come thru :th :ep :sick

What's the consensus on using multiple layers of cheesecloth instead of milk filters? Yea or nay?

I don't know about machine milking but here is a video of how I filtered the milk. I hand milked.

I use a milking machine and still filter my milk and I still get little pieces of hay and an occasional hair in the milk. It gets on the inflations when I milk and sucked into the can I guess.

I use milk filters and the stainless steel filter from Caprine Supply
