My pygmy doe, Flory Joe, was already bred when I got her at an auction on March 24. I didn't get any info on when she may have actually been bred------with pygmies being so chunky, it's hard to tell what's mama and what's baby! Her udder stayed small for so long that I had started thinking she wasn't bred at all-----but about a month ago it started getting bigger, so I knew she had a baby in there.
Today she acheived "boom" and has a small amount of discharge and looks as though the baby(ies) has dropped. She's spent all day going between the goat shed and another smaller shelter I have in the goatyard and talking to her side. This is pretty exciting, as my other 3 does that kidded earlier this summer did so when I was gone. I'm thinking there will be a baby either by morning or sometime tomorrow!
