Found: Boer doeling - Update: We found her owner!!

A person down the road from me found a Boer doeling standing next to the highway a couple of days ago. She left me a note in my door asking me to call her about a goat. I brought her some hay, probios, minerals, and some feed. She is willing to keep the baby until we find the owner if we can. If anyone knows of someone in the Rock Hill / Catawba area if South Carolina that is missing a little girl, please let me know. Thank you

Didn't find the owner yet. We put up flyers in Tractor Supply and the local coop. I also put two ads on Craigslist and in the local paper. I wish I could keep her, she is beautiful and very friendly. I have Nigis though, so with her being a large breed and having horns growing, it wouldn't be safe for my little 60 pound guys though. This gal is still keeping her in the backyard for now.

We found her owner, I am so glad. That man and that baby goat were definitely happy to see each other. The was an obvious bond between them. Whoo hoo. Someone he knew saw my ad in the paper about a found doeling and told him to call to see if it was his. He was able to describe her to a tee.

Whew! I understand how this can happen. I had a neighbor knock on my door around 11 PM a few weeks ago....one of my doelings was knocking at his back door! We never figured out how she got out, but she was desperate and scared and her voice was almost gone, so she'd been yelling, poor little thing. I'm so glad it ended well....for that little doeling, and for mine.
