Ok, I went back through my pics and found some to help you in the future. I don't have the notes on their ages, but it's around the same as yours (more or less). I'll do the pullets first, and the cockerels in a separate post.

Young EE pullet: pattern on the breast in subdued colors, pink comb and no wattle development.

Young cochin/EE pullet: uniform color all over.

Mixed pullet: this one was difficult to tell until she was grown. Dark pink comb and wattles, and dark, brassy red feathers should have indicated male. But her patterning is uniform, which was the only female clue.

Same bird, older, with another pullet.

Same birds and a few of their hatch mates. Only a couple were roosters.

EE pullet about the same age as yours.

RIR mixed pullet:

Hatch mate RIR mix cockerel. Thicker legs, redder face.

Grown hens, EEs and varying mixes.

Now the cockerels! Most of these are EEs, so you know what to look for. EEs are sometimes more difficult because their beards hide wattle growth and the pea combs aren't large, compared to other breeds.

Young cochin mix. Definite comb and wattle growth.

Young EEs, you can see the red combs and colored patches on the shoulders.

Ignore the honas, but you can see the brassy breast in the bottom left and the shoulder patches at bottom right.

An EE and a BCM, hatch mates. Much larger comb, pointed hackle feathers, brassy shoulder patches, pointed saddle feathers, green curving tail sickles.

Pullets and cockerels. Can you tell?

Grown EEs. Lots of hackles/saddles to see.

Yep, looks like I've got girls for sure when compared to your boys! None of my birds have dark red combs/waddles or pointy saddle feathers.

I'm a first year chicken mama who was looking for sexing help with my "girls" this weekend and discovered BYC...just in time for it to go into read-only mode! Happy to have found BYH during the transition.

We currently have 11-week-old Easter Eggers, Speckled Sussex, and Silver-laced Wyandottes purchased via mail from Cackle Hatchery as day-old chicks. I would love to discuss chicken rearing, especially regarding these breeds.

I also enjoy gardening and have a cranky old cat (Nala), a Great Pyrenees who is scared of everything, especially ceiling fans (Bianca), and a sweet 3-legged blue heeler (Kali). I have a hubby who hates all things outdoors and thinks I'm CRAZY for chicken-ing, too!

Hi,I have an Easter egger that looks exactly like yours! Do you know if it is rooster or hen?
