Work with him every day. Do not leave a halter on him, halter him every day and take him for a walk... he will come to expect this and enjoy the time with you. Do not hand feed him because he will expect this and is not good for his training. Patience is key as llamas take awhile to trust you. I always groom my llamas when they come in from a walk, that way you get to touch them and it helps with their sensitivity training. Since he has pack training he would love a long walk then a hike.
