Heatwave this morning!

It was supposed to warm up a little, so I partially pulled the cloth up, secured it with a carbiner.

When I raise up both sides of the cloth again I think I will use removable hardware instead of zip-ties, which I had to cut.

A coop with a view again!

Today's supplements were a slice of stale toasting bread, cubed, a few stale unsalted saltines, crumbled, and one stale taco shell (corn), also crumbled.

But what they really loved was the collards I picked from under the snow...

I get the "taking more time" during the early morning... but we only put out about the amount of water they would drink during the day... Very little waste that way... and I was on a cistern so water conservation was a PRIORITY.... Topped them a little in the afternoon.... but didn't want to deal with the constant frozen ice cube in the water cups.
Nice greens are always the "bestest" when everything is cold and frozen and colorless...you're a good caretaker..
