Sounds like they're going to admit him? Better to be safe than sorry. I'm so sorry for what ya'll are going through, but it is the best place for him right now. Hopefully just some IV antibiotics and you can be out of there.

Every time we're hospitalized it takes several days to catch up with rest when we get home. Take as much care of you as you can!

Thank you all for the kind words.

It's after 6pm Friday evening. We're still in the room in the ED/ER. Ron is very upset and won't cooperate, so it's doubly difficult. Technically he was admitted, there just isn't any room available in the main hospital.

Some of the staff here are wonderful, the others shouldn't be in any service position.

I am convinced that if I could get Ron up and sitting in a chair in a room, or even take him home, he would be doing much better.

I did go home this afternoon for an hour or so to check on the chickens, cover the plants (frost forecast), take a shower, and change my clothes...wow did that feel good!

OMG. This is unconscionable!! I can't imagine how you must be feeling about this. The health system here is totally busted. So sorry for you guys, thank you for the update. Keep us posted - we do care.
