I brought the gals a treat, corn on the cob from work! The hens tried to carry away the three corn cobs, it was funny to watch!

Joanna, Rahab, Priscilla.

Rahab is 2 years old, the others are about 11 months.

In the back coop it appears there's a jail break planned...

:ep

No worries, it's all hardware cloth behind the wood end. It's attached both to the wood back and securely pinned to the ground.

This picture was taken during the build, now the pins are placed every 3-4".

The Coop Deux flock got lots of wild strawberries instead of corn.

I'm not entirely happy with the driveway gates, but the handyman showed me why they're not quite level. They swing fine and easy, and latch, so there's that.

I put the brick behind the right gate as it hits the ground when swung in that direction. There's enough room to get through but others in the household  tend to be Bull in the China Shop, and might try to force it to open wider, causing damage.

Somewhere in the shed I have gate hardware with a rod that drops down and locks one side of the gates in place. I need to find it. I also was thinking of scraping the soil under the gates and laying down some pavers. It tends to puddle in that area after a rain, would be nice to not step in mud in wet weather (slippery). And maybe be able to swing the gate farther in.

Somehow I had the impression that you worked in an office. Now I have no idea what you do! 🤭
I do work in an office, as an administrator for a residency program, babysitting medical residents (think interns, sort of). One of the faculty (physician) brought in leftovers to have for her lunch. She sat with us at our desks (she's a sweetheart) during lunch. I offered to take her leftovers home to my chickens.
