My INDOOR cats were playing with something last summer... having a wild time flipping it up in the air, chasing it, pouncing, etc. I thought it was a bread tie or something similar. Turned out to be a skink's tail!!!!!
No idea how they got it.... or where the rest of the skink was.
If they just had the tail the skink probably escaped!

Coffee at work, drank 3.5 cups, small cups.

Plumber came during the day, unclogged the kitchen sink. Son handled the situation, and I am pleased with how he's been stepping up and taking responsibility more than before.

After work I came home, did chicken chores, then mowed about half of the backyard. Clippings went to both flocks, they made appreciative noises.

Tomatoes have needed to be staked, or "stringed", but I was out of string. And then I thought of what @Baymule might do...

I used string left over from the bales of straw I bought, and saved!

On one end they're tied very loosely around the base of the tomato plant and on the other to the top of the trellis.

As the tomatoes grow you gently wrap the string around the plant. It works really well, no need for cages.

I weeded and watered the iris bed. The monardas are starting to shoot up, I think they're liking the new location.

You are going to have a real nice vegetable garden! I like the tomato trellis!
Thanks!

The trellis and the string ideas I got from Gardener Scott on YouTube. He's a Master Gardener but is so low-key that he's fun to watch. I think I got my Hugelkulture ideas from him as well.

They're the 2 tiny green bits at the bottom. Pumpkin seedlings are at the top.
