Hello everyone,

Tis' mustangrooster, and i have finally decided to join this herd…….i am very commonly on BYC under the same username, mainly because I cant think of another username………

I have around 65 chickens, with 30 chicks hatching soon, a breeding pair of Muscovy’s, with the female now sitting on her 14 eggs (used to be roughly 30 eggs, my furry baby found her nest (Heidi the dog………) ) 1 turkey, horses, cows, 3 dogs, 1 cat (The other cat went missing……………) budgies, a cockatiel, joeys/wallaby’s, used to have goats, a snake, 14 chickens bubs, and looking at getting pigs, and more goats. Eh………….i feel like im missing an animal…………..

Im from Australia and am happy to be here! :wootIt will give me a place to rant about my animals, other than chickens ;)

Its a bit confusing compared to BYC..........But i think i'll get the hang of it, someday.....................

Greetings and welcome to BYH. I think you'll find the crowd here most accommodating. We have a great group of "herd" owners here covering just about everything you'd typically find in a farmyard... Most here are or were also on BYC, so you might recognize some of the names. Browse around and you'll get to meet/know quite few of the regulars. Lots of great info and experience shared in the threads. We have a few others here from down under as well. Make yourself at home and please feel free to share a few pics of your animals... We're all a bit addicted to farm pics here. They do make things quite a bit more interesting :D =D And by all means, rant away! We all need to do so every once and a while :old

Welcome! So... You have wallabys? We always ask for pictures but in this case, I insist on pictures! Lol!

You'll get the hang of it. I find BYC to be confusing, as I only go there when I have a particular question. Looking forward tp hearing about your animals!

Here's another big howdy and welcome to the site from the Great Lone Star State, where the stars at night are big and bright! Tickled pink you decided to join us and looking forward to reading how y'all down under do things. We are all picture addicts and would really enjoy seeing some of your pictures... especially the joeys and wallabys. I have to ask too, what no sheep? Isn't it a law that you have to have sheep? I think it is a law, somewhere in the small print, that if you live in Texas you have to have cows. I could be wrong, but I don't think so. :)

Welcome from Indiana!
The forum doesn't take too long to figure out. I understand that you have wild rabbits running around there the way Dubai has monkeys taking over the city. Probably not too many folks raising them. Well, lots to do on here, so enjoy.

Thankyou! I will browse around, if i can figure out how to browse all the forums, that is! BYC is so much different to BYH....

Ohhhhhh.....your going to be sorry you asked for pics...........chances are, you'll be sitting here until 2018 by the time you've finished scrolling through all the pics.....but sure, i have too many pics that just go to waste.

Thanks again, i love my animal bubs :) So many funny stories just sitting in the back of my brain........animals never fail to impress you, eh?

Welcome! So... You have wallabys? We always ask for pictures but in this case, I insist on pictures! Lol!

Thanks! Yes........ones that i have hand raised and wild ones that like getting treats, lol, i wont leave without posting pictures, thats for sure.

Weeeell, we are opposite then....BYH is confusing, but hey im not complaining, just a big change from BYC ;)

Welcome from Ohio! You're in Australia and you don't have sheep? :p
Looking forward to pictures when you get a chance to post some :)

Nah.........no sheep! I would love some, however where we are, sheep are basically banned! Because its cattle country......you need a special permit to own them.....but we have these special sheep too, they look like goats but they are actually sheep. You can keep those without a permit.

Thanks for the welcome :)

Hi there and welcome from Texas! Sounds like you've got quite the menagerie! Yep - pics are a necessity!

Thanks! Yep.....got my hands full, thats for sure! Everyones asking for pics.....i think i would be in trouble if i didn't post any!

Thankyou! :) Oh YES my hands are always full......you'd be lucky to have 5 mins peace without one of the animals making a fuss or them deciding to upper the vet bills.

Me? Join other threads? Ah. I think if i posted it would suddenly be a dead thread ;) I dont even need to go out and take photos to post......i have over 5000 photos that just go to waste......so heres my chance!

Thankyou very much :) Well, down under is full of surprises, from king browns in the house to a huge python snatching my silkies..lm looking forward to sharing my pictures with y'all.

Well, Sheep are banned where we are. Strange though. They bring something crazy like diseases to cattle........and well, Australia is cattle country...sooo....you have to apply for a special permit just to keep them, and plus with those big thick coats, i imagine it would be torture for them in this heat. I dont think its a law that you have to keep sheep, maybe in other places in Australia?

I also mentioned before that we have 'special' sheeps in Australia, i, er, forget the name of em'.....but they look like goats! :D =D Not sure if other places have them?

Eeeeeeekkk, is that actually a law? Never heard of it..:hide

I hope your right......... as for the rabbits, yes and no. We used to have a pet rabbit running around, er, thats until the staffy got him, he basically went feral though. So does that count? I've never seen wild rabbits around here, but they could just be hiding from me

Thanks :)

I will post some animal pics now...............
