Goat Injury

My goats are in the barn for the winter, and today they made a mess of their stall, they must have gotten really bored, they started tearing apart the fencing between their stall on another one of my does. When I went to milk this evening, one of my does face is scratched up, one of her eyes is a bit swollen, and behind her horns it is a little bloody!!! How should I heal this??? Also, there is a little bump on her udder that you can feel when milking (It wasn't there this morning). It has a little bloody spot by it, do you think this is part of her injury or is it something different. How should I treat that also. I feel terrible, and I don't know if the injuries were from the fence, or her sister that shares her stall. I can probably get some pictures when I go out to treat her wounds.

Blue-kote the areas not around her eyes. You can use triple antibiotic on her eyelid if it’s really bad or colloidal silver (eye safe antibiotic). Goats are social, did they just not want to be separated? Is there a reason you separated them?

I put triple antibiotic on her eyelids. But I have 4 smallish stalls in my barn, and it would be too many goats in one area, so I separate them, but the goat that got these wounds is actually with her sister in the same stall. But they are separated, because they are Nubians, and the other goats are polled Nigerian Dwarfs and the Nigerian Dwarfs get beat up, so I have to keep them separate.

Sounds like you took good care of the eye.

I would just wash it. Do check to make sure the horns are still solid, and not cracked.

Does it hurt her when you touch it? I would look closely and make sure a splinter isn't hiding in the lump.
