You can go here: https://www.houseofbacchusgoatsupplies.com/ They gave a Johnson Shield that your buck can wear and is used as birth-control. My rams wear them, and my sheep-flock is kept as a natural family-group. I just time when I want lambs, and remove the guy’s apron for a few days - then replace it.Could I get a buck and doe and keep them together forever?
Hasn’t worked that way here. My two boys have figured they can’t get any jollies when they’re wearing the apron, so they quit pestering. Maybe sheep are dumber than goats and give up. I laugh at the light-bulb that goes on in the ram’s eyes when I pull it off and he’s free to go!The problem with keeping them together is that although the "buck shield' might prevent him breeding her, he will continually be pestering her since she wi continue to cycle. Think oversexed male and female with a headache!
