We finally got our first goats on Saturday! We brought home a 9 mo girl whom we are still deciding on a name and a 3 mo boy named Vader. They banded him so he is soon to be a wither and they said there is a slight chance the girl could have been bred. We shall see... They were very skittish at first and would not eat or drink anything to start with but they are finally settling in. No problems with the cohabitation with chickens either in the yard. They don't even pay attention to each other. We had to seller worm them before we brought them home so got that out of the way. All in all we are very pleased with our decision to get the goats and so far so good!! yeah:D

Vader is on the right in both photos. Right now we are thinking Dory or Dobby for the girl. tbd

Awe so sweet! I want chickens!! I like Dory. What kind are they. The done looks so small. Not much difference in 9 and 2 months.

Congratulations on the new additions. They are so pretty! I am really jealouse of all the green grass, the heat has killed off any chance of green in our goat and chicken areas here.

I have waivered back and forth but finally decided to name our girl Dobby. (house elf from Harry Potter) She looks after Vader and appears to have on socks so it seemed fitting.
