Thanks for sharing your ideas! Yes Summer our goat lost hair in a perfect ring around her eyes almost immediately after the buck went home from their month long “date”. So I’m suspecting that she is pregnant and her hormones shifted. And since there we not rub marks, no pests, no strange hair growth or loss or patterns anywhere else, and her digestion and poop looked good, etc. I believe it’s zinc deficiency. We tried a switch to a different loose mineral with extra zinc mixed in and some kelp and other tasty stuff. She nibbled but seems not too interested. Her hair is growing back and she’s happy. I will remember about that zinc lozenge trick! We have some and I didn’t even think of that! Thank you

That kind of sounds like and caught mites from the buck and faught them off.
