This is only about an hour away from me!! It's in Wooster, Ohio on Memorial Day weekend, and it's free to get in (some workshops have fees and some you needed to preregister for). I haven't had my sheep for very long, but I'm really looking forward to going.

Anyone else from here planning to go?

I didn't see this before but I was there! If you asked a girl with a blue sweater selling jacob yarn about people who might have an icelandic ram that was me! My mom will be running the booth the rest of the weekend. I was so glad it was cooler this year, last year we were dying.

Were you the one who gave me a couple of names? Or were you at the end of one of the aisles? I saw so many people, I'm trying to remember!

I got some really nice roving and top to practice with my new-to-me wheel :)

I wrote down some names for you on my receipt book.

I brought 7 lbs of nice clean fleece down to drop off at the Ohio Valley fiber mill and ended up bringing 10 lbs of raw dirty alpaca back home :idunno

I remember you! Thanks, that was so nice of you. I didn't find either person though. There wasn't much Icelandic stuff there, there was one Icelandic fleece entered but it had been sold and taken by the time I got there, and I don't know who entered it.

I got some Icelandic/alpaca and Icelandic/BL roving to practice with, and some nice wool top that someone had at a great price! So by the time I shear mine for the first time, I should be pretty good with the wheel.

The show was fun, I couldn't believe the variety of stuff there! If I didn't have so much yard and animal work to catch up on, I'd go back again today!

I'm sorry I missed this myself. I didn't see your post until this morning, and of course we have family coming over today :(

This is our 3rd year vending there and its so much fun every time! I love seeing the sheep show and most years they have an angora goat show but it was cancelled this year due to lack of participation. I guess I'm going to have to drag some goats out to show next year. I think I'm going to enter the fleece contest next year too.

If you need help with shearing whenever feel free to contact me! I know how hard it is to find someone to do a small flock in our area. I ended up just learning to do it myself.
