Hi, I'm new to this site, but have been with BYC for a long time. We have over 40 chickens - been raising both layers and meat chickens for 3 years.
This year, we're moving in to rabbits. We are rebuilding our chicken coop and will house the rabbits inside the chicken run (in their own cages).
We are considering NZ or Californias. Looking for breeders with strong lines in our area. We are planning to start with 3 does and 1 buck.
We will mostly raise rabbits for our own consumption, but we do have a few families that will buy dressed rabbits from us when we have extras.
I'm looking forward to reading lots and lots of posts here.
