#1 I'd guess.... has some Guernsey or Ayrshire in him somewhere...
#2 looks (to me) like a JerseyxWhite Park.. especially with the little dish face.. possibly Charolais...
#3 looks Red Angus or, depending on size, possibly dun Dexter...

Alright, I guess I'll give out the answers now since no-one else has guessed thus far. :)

#1) He's a bit of a mystery this one. I too think he's mostly Shorthorn, but he could also have Red Angus and Simmental in the mix, or maybe even some Longhorn. His head and mouth structure tells me he's probably mostly Shorthorn, with some other unknown breeds in the woodpile. But definitely not Ayrshire or Red Holstein, because he definitely does not have any dairy-type characteristics to him. Ayrshires are a bit too rare up here to be used in a commercial beef herd, and I've seen Holstein-cross steers (we've had a few pop up here and there on occasion), and he looked nor grew nothing like them.

#2) This yellow-white-face steer is most likely a Charolais-Hereford-Angus cross, since he's got the coarseness of a Charolais and the growth characteristics of a Charolais, but the docility, white face and stockings typical of a Hereford-cross animal. Also note the curly hair on him. This is typical of Charolais-type cattle, and Herefords also have curly hair on the poll and forehead. Simmentals tend to have less to no white stockings on them. He was quite docile, he often walked less than a foot or two away from me, and of course the growth on him was quite something, just by looking at the rump on him in the first picture, but never grew so tall that I couldn't see over him, because I could even in the first pic, which was the one of the latest ones of him. He would've made a great 4H steer if I ever got into 4H or if we had some kid raise him as a 4H steer.

#3) He's a Red Angus steer, I very much doubt he's a hybrid of any other breeds. This colouration, though very unique in my opinion since until that time I've never known Red Angus cattle to have a black face with a little bit of a black dorsal stripe and black on the front of the legs. I asked about his colouration a number of years ago and was sent a picture of a purebred Red Angus bull with the very same colouration as this steer. Now if/when I can dig up this picture I will post it here as proof.

Thanks for all the guesses! :D
