Has anyone had success correcting splay leg?

Has anyone tried the cork method: http://www.bio.miami.edu/hare/splayleg.html

to correct splay leg in a rabbit (hind leg)? Did it work? Is it really possible-- i.e. do they keep it on at all or promptly wiggle out?

I have a minilop and he has splay leg problem in his right back leg. hes very fast and runs quite well and jumps so high, but has problems putting weight into that leg. so I am planning to do the same procedure but need some experiences from someone who has done that already. please be kind enough to reply if you've managed to fix his splay-leg.
