Hello everyone! My name is Leyla. I don't keep any back yard critters at this time but have in the past. I grew up with Horses, Goats and Poultry. I have kept all of these all through out my adult life although as of late, have toned it down to just poultry. At my age, chickens are more my speed now. :D =D

I found you guys through BYC (Back Yard Chickens) where I am also a moderator. I keep a few different breeds of chicken and Bobwhite Quail.

My other interests are Gardening, Walking, Reading and hanging out with the dog.

I hope to get to know you all and would love to see your back yard herds!! I do miss my Horses and Goats. So I will just have to live vicariously through you all. :D =D

Thanks for reading and have a great day!!

:welcome :frow Is it possible for one to be "too old" for goats? :duc:hide Sure hope not as I'm about to get started and am not a youngun anymore either... :thI also came here from BYC, and presently only have the chickens, an old Golden Retriever and a new LGD pup... oh, and 2 brand new bee hives... Was going to start goats next spring, but it's getting more and more difficult to wait :idunno

Thank you everyone!!

I love to grow veggies and flowers. I am huge on flowers! Can't get enough of them. I also have a greenhouse and each spring I stuff the thing full of flowers! LOL Right now I can barely walk in there, stepping around pots and flowing flowering plants! Ha!

@Latestarter As for being too old for goats, NEVER! At least not for such a young man as yourself! ;) It was the horses that really got to me. I have shoveled MOUNTAINS of horse "do" over my years. LOL And I think I lumped the goats in with the horses and I let them all go. You will do just fine! They are very easy to care for and fun too! The fun will outweigh the work.

Thank you everyone for the nice welcomes!
