I just found this website while reading a sister-site for chickens
My daughters and I live in Arizona, so we usually have desert environment questions and concerns, and advice
We currently have:
6 horses -
Finn, an 18 yr old TB gelding
Ace, a 6 yr old grade pinto gelding
Dante, a 6 yr old TB gelding
Tempest, an 8 yr old riding pony grade mare
Vegas, an 8 year old AQHA mare
and Pippin, a 3 yr old mini gelding
4 dogs:
Abbey, a 7 year old Irish Wolfhound
Bella, a 5 year old Cocker Spaniel
Cody,a 6 year old Eng Springer Spaniel
Desi, a 5 year old Eng Springer Spaniel
4 cats:
Sinatra - a blue eyed orange tabby DSH house cat
Annie, Hunter, Jack - all black/tabby/white DMH barn cats
24 chickens - 4 Black Copper Marans, 2 Bantam Buff brahmas, 2 buff orpingtons, 2 sliver laced wyandottes, 2 easter eggers, 2 white frizzles, 2 jersey giants and one each of: Speckled Sussex, Barred Rock, Polish, Yokohama, Rhode island Red, Cinnamon Queen, Red Comet, Black Australorp
We are active in our local 4-H group, in Horse and Dog projects, and this year are adding Small Stock (Pygmy Goat, Rabbit, Poultry and Cavy)....just Poultry right now, but looking at getting rabbits and pygymy goats soon.

I wish we had room for horses, but our lot isn't big enough for food production and happy horses. Maybe we can get more land eventually
