Chillin' with the herd
Hi there! I just joined backyardchickens.com a few days ago...and when visiting the section for equines, I found a link to this site.
I am a horse person, and have a degree in Equine Science - we have three horses (two quarter horse mares who are 15 and 16 years old; one grade pony...he gaits...he's probably about 20 yrs old...and he's GRUMPY...but my 2.5 yr old daughter LOVES HIM!! ). I also board three horses on my property. There is an Arab Stallion, and two arab mares - one of which is pregnant and due in April.
We have three beautiful dogs - two border collie crosses and a great pyrenees/GSD mix. Three barn cats, a rabbit, two pet rats, and...since Monday...ten adorable little chicks!
We will be getting meat rabbits this spring, as well.
About me: I'm 29, married, and have a 2.5 yr old daughter. We have a small (seven acre-ish) farm near Dayton, Ohio, and I stay home with my daughter. I babysit a few children in my home, pet sit, and board horses. My husband works a lot of hours, so I have to keep myself occupied!
I'm looking forward to meeting everyone!
