Hello.from hot and sunny central New Mexico. I inherited a goat and her two kids and even though its been a year I still feel like a newbie. As my name suggests I am 'hopeful' to learn a lot about goats and other herd animals from you all.

Greetings and welcome to BYH from NE TX! So glad you joined us and finally posted! :D There's a wealth of info, knowledge and experience shared in the multitude of threads. Maybe it'll help you figure out the breed? Of course you posted asking as well and hopefully someone will chime in for you. Browse around and see what interesting stuff you can find. By all means post away when the desire strikes you, especially if you have questions (provide as much detail/info as possible and pictures truly help)... With all the great folks here, generally someone will respond in no time at all. Please make yourself at home!

Hope you enjoy the site!
