from Vermont. I just butchered my first pigs 3 weeks ago. Had bacon and chops so far. They were outstanding! Good luck to you.
By the way....I started with chickens, migrated to cows, and then pigs. I am sending my first steer to freezer camp in May. I am loving raising my own meat.
Everything is going great so far. I just moved them to a bigger home. I'm going to keep expanding their area all winter, and then start closing it off in areas to start my garden. It's a lot of fun taking care of these little girls/guys.
