Hello from upstate SC

I live in the Greenville/Spartanburg area of SC, with my wife and daughter. We are really wanting to get into small farming and raising some sheep, since my wife is a spinner/knitter (among a dozen other crafty skills lol). I grew up around small mountain farms in the Shenandoah Valley, and it apparently got in my blood and won't let go.

So, here i am to learn all I can about sheep! And other things lol. My wife may make an account also.

We have goats, chickens, ducks, and cats here on our 20acres. I can't help ya with sheep....but, there certainly are plenty here that can....there are several that also spin and knit too....I'm sure they will be along and chime in also. When I started out truck driving, I trained out of Greer, so very familiar with that neck of the woods over there. Just make yourself at home and browse around the Forums and Threads there is a ton of info and pics contained in them....if ya have a question, comment, or advice just post at will....and we all love pics of animals, so just post away and we will "Oooh and Aaahh" over them.

We have chickens, dairy goats, lots of ducks, a pair of breeder geese, a cranky turkey hen and two livestock guardian dogs.

DH and I are retired, moved here in 2015, and love it! We've come a long way since then. But then, there is always a project to keep us moving forward.
