Welcome to the forum! Just because you don't have your animals yet, don't be afraid to chime in, ask questions, share your dreams and get to know everybody. I was a member for 5 years, had chickens and a garden, but wanted sheep badly. I got 4 bred ewes a week ago today. I have learned so much here on BYH and made good friends. Glad to have you here!
Welcome to Backyard Herds from another "goatie", and from Upper Michigan! As others have posted before me, there is a lot of info here, and lots of friendly people to talk to! Lots of pictures to view as well! Welcome, and have fun!
A BIG BAMA WELCOME to GoatyGirl. You will just fall in Love with all the great people around the barnyard. They have so much infor. to give. This is the best bunch of folks I've ever had the pleasure of grazing with. Hope to see you around the barn. once again welcome to the herd.
Here's another big howdy and welcome from the Great Lone Star State, where the stars at night are big and bright. Sit a spell, get comfortable -- ah now just shoo that kid off the chair since she doesn't belong there anyway, darn beast has her own chair. Grab you a beverage and prop the feet up since we're not formal.
As my best two pieces of unasked advise: never build any building that is shorter than the tallest person in your family plus 6 inches (your head will thank you) and ask why, keep asking why until you understand the answer. Sometimes folks can give the most perfect, correct and wonderful answer but you just don't get it, so ask again and maybe the next person can put it in terms that light up your lightbulb.
Glad to have you here. Oh, we love pictures so post pictures of animals you have, pictures of animal you want to have, pictures of animals you would have if you won the lottery... pictures, please and thank you!
