Hi, My name is Dawn Blakeney. I am in Boston Heights, Ohio. I am a beekeeper and have a small flock of chickens. I have been into bees for three years and chickens for two. This year my husband Glen and I are adding three baby doll sheep to our two acres of property. We are very new to this so I am sure I will be using this site a lot. We have six children and five grandchildren so we are busy and love having something to take cared of now that the nest is completely empty. Love to be outside gardening in our free time. Glad to be part of the community.

No, he isn't. I don't think we are any worse off because he isn't.

Very nice animals. He is also an ADGA judge. But, I've seen some things he's written on a Nigerian chat site. I'll just leave it at that..

Nice to be greeted by so many. I will be checking in frequently I am sure being new at all of this. I welcome any help or advice. Just a quick question for anyone that can answer. is it a good idea to allow my chickens to free range in the same area as my sheep? Can they share a barn if they are in different areas and separated from each other? Thanks for any and all feedback.

I have goats, but my chickens free range with them. And, my chicken coop is the premier spot for my dominant goats, so I'm sure it's fine.

We have sheep/goats/horses/geese/ducks and chickens. The chickens are free range and go everywhere looking for bugs and spilled grain. They are happier and healthier because of it. (I've even see some of the chickens sitting on a sheep's back when the sheep are sitting and chewing their cud. A humorous sight!)
