A big howdy and welcome from the Great Lone Star State! Glad you found us and are posting.

What kind of goats do you have? Are you going to milk or just enjoy the silly beasts? Plans for a garden? Goat poop is great for gardens. It is a cold manure so you can use it right away.

If you would put your general location in your information it would be very, very helpful to the rest of us. Lots of time responses to questions become area specific... as in what works for me here in Texas may not work for someone in New York. Please and thank you.

Oh, and we love pictures of your animals, garden, trees, sunsets anything. Heck we just love pictures.

Again, glad you are here. Make yourself at home and don't be a stranger.

I have three nigerian dwarfs that are pets/companion and yes, silly as all get out. I live on the Oregon coast and we also grow apples, blackberrys, plums and every other year; peaches. This time of year we are quite damp and as we know goats don't like rain So they pretty much live in the barn. Every night they come in the house for there grain and love it until they want to be goats again and they go to the door to go back out to the barn. We actually have a living area in the barn for all of us to hang and watch TV.

I look forward to the forum!
