Hello, I’m new. My husband and I are raising Dexters and Highland Dexter crosses. We’re relatively new to cattle and we’re thinking about doing Dexters and Highland or having both for now and figuring out what we want to stick with. We also have two bottle baby Jerseys that will be our family milk cows. We have 4 Nigerian Dwarf goats, a bunch of chickens And 3 dogs. A GP LGD, Boarder Collie and Australian Shepherd. Our kids are doing Dairy, Beef, Dogs and poultry in 4H.

Sorry, I hit the post button. Interesting diversity of breeds of cattle. My son and I have a beef cow/calf operation, and I am a milk tester of 30+ years. I also have several jersey and guernsey cross cows that I use for nurse cows. They are farmed out to one of the dairies I test while I had my ankle replaced 2 years ago and both knees done about 4 months ago. Hopefully will be getting them back as they go dry off the dairy this year so I can go back to raising calves on them.
I have purebred show chickens, raise alot of meat birds, have had turkeys. we have sheep and have had most all other breeds of "farm animals".
