New cow momma

Hello. My name is Elizabeth. I am a fairly new cow momma (2 years now). I also have a horse and raise pigs. I have joined the forum for help in info about raising cows. I am fairly new to them. I own a 7 year old momma red angus with her steer she had in June of 2023. I hope to learn a lot from those that have more knowledge of cows. Thank you.

@farmerjan is our main go to "cow" people...works with operating dairies, raises beef, also.... Maintains sizeable herd cow/calf op, keeps a few dairy for self.

Lot of members with pigs, sheep, goats, chickens...plus more You'll be Old McDonald's with our input

She'll reply here....works for dairy testing. So my name drop will get her to respond and she'll ask -- what situation you need for special help . Without that there's not much to tell.

I see the swollen rump post...she will too. Dairy testing can be a 4-5 am start, or late if catching evening milk. Erratic schedules & days but, reply will come.
