Island Creek Farm
Chillin' with the herd
I did this too...had some yearlings that were not yet bred, bought store goats milk and was horrified...
had a friend bring some from a dairy in Atlanta, it was just as bad...
so I freaked out and got rid of my goats!
Last year I visited a farm to buy honey, he persuaded me to try his goats milk, and I was pleasantly surprised (after handling it like it was toxic...lol), bought some milk and with his help had purchased a doe within two days, and another within two weeks!
We now breed Alpines and miniature Alpines and I am knee deep in milk!
