Hi I have a friend who has a Pygmy goat doe who has kidded 2 months ago. She has been in a pen with the baby for 3 months now she has had no outside time since its been so cold. Anyway she has contracted a skin problem and I was wondering if mtg was ok to use on her the baby doesn't drink from momma very much anymore and is strong and healthy. I've used mtg on horses and it works great just never came across a problem with a goat just wondering if anyone has used it or knows of something better

Not familiar with mtg ( I did look it up though)
Hard to see in the pics but they look like lesions. Were there lumps there that burst?

I think she just rubbed them her skin in really dry and hair is coming off my first thought was mange but that wouldn't make since.... She was in a shed that also housed chickens so it might be lice or mites I couldn't get a hold of her tho

If you are concerned about mtg, I'd spray the wounds with iodine and then spray a little olive oil on her. Rub it in and see if that helps. Olive oil is good for the skin and should smother any mites that could be on her.

What about ring worm? (fungus, can be treated with athlete spray/ointment).
