@Dogma Why don't you try giving them their grain on the stanchion? It'll let them get used to spending some time there twice a day, keep them from haggling over the grain, and give you an opportunity to comb them and get them used to you touching them all over (like to milk them). For later you'll be able to trim hooves there give medicine if need be, shots, you name it. It's a nice controlled area, and they need to be comfortable there. Also, it will save you lots of headaches, now and later.;)
Great idea!!! Now to make one ;)

Good day friends...
We had our first vet visit today and I feel much more relaxed. I love our vet!!! The girls received rabies vaccinations and fecal run... And in turn dispensed dewormer. Ginger is too thin and wormy so will increase her grain and Nutmeg is too fat, so no grain for her. There was no evidence of babies on ultrasound... Either too early or not pregnant... Will recheck in a month or so... Vet said she would not be unhappy if Nutmeg is indeed not bred.. As she is so small and young... Possibly a year to 1.5 yrs.. I've asked Santa for a milking stanchion and a feeder for my girls. Lol. Will keep you all updated. They are happy and healthy and I'm in love... Although I now want More goats. Lol..

Didn't you say a while back that Ginger was pushing Nutmeg away from the grain? See? Mom was concerned about daughter's weight! She knew she needed it and Nutmeg didn't. :clap;)

Man... I look at those pics and I miss those New England woods! Born and raised outside of Boston... Love the woods in New England. Those goats are living in paradise with you! Woods, and trees, and lots of leaves to eat, and rocks to climb on. Life couldn't be better!
