Hera's Story

@Ridgetop It's in the plans but first I have to forestry mulch to even get to the fence line. Hera mostly pushes out under gates so I'm trying to get a low hot wire going but I can't put it close to the physical fence...

Pooch has decided to clear 4 feet no problem and take himself on walks past few days as I am finishing up his current pen. He checks in at the pole barn in which I lead him back to his pen.

 

[Margali]

Leo does that during the night / first thing in the morning chasing strays. He comes back and waits at gate to be let in. He is sheep safe but much more interested in people.

Hera goes off and stays. She bolts from sheep the first instant possible. I have to walk or drive to her location. Then she'll hop into vehicle for ride back.

 

[Mini Horses]

Maybe Hera is retiring from her LGD job and wants just minor house duties will she stay in home acre?

 

[Margali]

That's were she is now. I need to fix the front broken section and see if she'll stay.

 

[Baymule]

Paris retired herself to our front yard. She still barked a warning to predators but let the other dogs do all the heavy lifting.

 

[Ridgetop]

Rika is in that mode now. They are still able to train and will protect if necessary, but I think they start to recognize their age and let the younger ones get on with it.

RIP Hera.
She was gone when we got home from work. I buried her beneath the slippery elms by the pond.
