Nice to meet all of you all. Just posted in meat rabbits!

PS From my daughter:
Hey yall, I might start my own username but in the meantime I wanted to ask this... I am a chicken nut and I wanted to see if there are any chicken peeps close to Toccoa GA?? I have Golden Laced wyandottes, some misc purebred hens, and have ordered buff orps for spring. If anyone has blue or lavender orps im interested! Plus we have our goats that will be available for sale when they're born!
-Rachael
I am in Valdosta Georgia! Nice to meet someone who is also obsessed with chickens! I just imported some RARE chickens from England not to long ago. Here is a list of my breeds I have available.

LF Chocolate Orpington
Silver Laced Orpington
Jubilee Orpington
Lavendar Cuckoo Orpington
Black Orpington
Cream Legbar
Olandsk Dwarf
and then the other misc breeds that I keep for my eating eggs.

I also raise Katahdin Hair Sheep

Hi Valdosta, My daughter just signed up with BYH as Chicken Chick. I gotta tell you all a cute story about how her love for chickens began. When Rachel was little I decided to get some chicks for Easter. I gave them to her figuring she lose interest then I would have these lovely chickens and yummy eggs for myself. She never grew tired of HER babies! At least I still got the yummy eggs. LOL. To this day, she loves her chickens best. She loves the goats too, but not as much as her chickens.

and yep mom is right, got me chicks at 8 y/o and now at 22 i LUV my chooks. I'll hve to get a pic up on my avatar. I have a bunch on my other forum chickencrossing.org. I love my golden laced wyandottes but after these all go I may never get any more. I really want some black australorps but the ones I got from Cackle hatchery and they are just the worst quality. I sold all but my fav 2 girls. I want to buy from a breeder someday. Also really want to breed Javas and get into that heritage breed. Plus lavender orps and maybe blue orps. I'm gonna get my first polish peeps with my buff orps in the spring, buff laced polish. Can't wait for them! :weee

LOL no I don't need more birds, though I want more! I have one little nice looking friendly BA roolet I am trying to find a home for, as well as a white/non-bearded/green-footed ameracana roo.

Here is a picture of my lavendar barred rooster imported here directly from the UK. He is still young. About 4.5 months old in that picture.
Below is a picture of my Jubilee pair. Also imported, but by Greenfire Farms.
