I've been on BYC for a while but as I am moving into the mammalian side of things for our 10 acre organic farm, thought I'd register on here as well. I currently only have heritage chickens & turkeys and some pheasants.. I just got an 8 1/2 month old Great Pyrenees... I will be fencing the perimeter of the farm this month and then who knows... I will be getting some large black pigs probably next spring, and either a milk cow or goats... Life's an adventure!!

Welcome to BYH!! This is a wonderful site for information on all types of farm animals. Sometimes practical advice from people who have raised animals for years is the best!! We have some extremely intelligent and knowledgable people on here who will give help and have hands on experience to draw from.

I don't do much advising, cause I'm still learning and other than basic stuff, like fresh water and grain, etc. I don't say much.

The Search feature is great for specific information. i.e. type in worming or disbudding and you'll get a lot of great threads.

We spent a few days in Idaho, did the loop around the state. What a great and beautiful area of the U.S.

We are all so lucky to be livin' in the USA.
