The blue otter is my netherland dwarf buck. The black otter is my netherland dwarf doe. And the black holland lop is my daughter's personal pet. I am not planning on breeding Hollands. Yet.

Welcome to BYH!!! Are they pedigreed? Depending on what you are breeding for, pedigrees may be necessary, although they are great to have anyway. Your NDs are beautiful! The buck has very nice color. Picking up another doe may be a good idea, because then you have a "spare" if the blue is a bad mother, infertile, etc. And it makes you gene pool bigger, so too much inbreeding is less of a problem.

Thank you @DutchBunny03 ! Unfortunately I bought my Nds before I found out that there is such a thing as pedigreed rabbits. I am getting a pedigreed buck soon and am slowly going to build up my pedigreed herd so my husband won't panic too bad! Lol
I love my blue otter buck. Which is why I am having a hard time with convincing myself to sell him and get a similar pedigreed buck.
I am looking for another doe. Hopefully I will find one soon!

Welcome...I thought the attachment thing was going to be a problem for me as well, but at Thanksgiving when we butchered several turkeys I raised and handled it was ok I got through it, and felt like I gave them a great life and then one bad day.

Just because he isn't pedigreed doesn't mean you can't show him or that he wouldn't be a good breeder, you just can't register him. Judges judge your rabbit on conformation to the breed/variety standard, not at all based off of his pedigree. While pedigrees are good to have, the lack of one isnt the end of the world. They are mostly just to keep records, which is a very good idea.

Definitely! Those are all dwarf breeds so they will not be eaten! Lol I am probably going to get New Zealand Whites since they are not going to be as easy for me to be attached to.

I sold my Blue Otter buck a few days ago.
I just picked up a pedigreed bunny yesterday. He too is a Netherland Dwarf. I am hopefully getting a a few female bunnies here soon.
