Talking about using cheesecloth, I have found some very fine weave, like linen, cloth napkins and use 2 of them(doubled) over a gal jar for my cow milk. They catch everything. Have used the dairy filters and coffee filters and other stuff over the years. Linen hand towels, or cotton type ones work good. I can wash and reuse them and they last a long time. The last ones I actually found at "wal-marts". Came in pkg of 4 napkins for a couple of dollars. Got 10 4 pks and just keep using and washing them If you use hot water to wash and a smidgen of bleach in the water they are good to go.
