Exploring the pasture
This was a huge issue for us too. No Vets treated goats, even the ones that advertised Large animals. And to find a Vet that will make a Kennel/Farm Call here is next to impossible.
We have a Vet for our sled dogs that is a traditional Doctor, we also use a Holistic Vet, the problem with her is she is out of the country often. Our third vet is the Goat's Vet, but she also races sled dogs and can be out on the trail for weeks at a time.
We have to rely on other Goat Folks and our own resources for a lot of the vet care where we live. We are about 40 miles from Fairbanks AK and most times a vet can not get here or WON'T come out this far.
I have ordered a few Goat Medicine books. When they arrive I'll be happy to let you know what I think of them and how easy they are to understand.
