How do you teach a pig to sit?

Hi,
My kids caught a pig at the local pig scramble. I have been advised that I should teach him to sit at feeding time and for treats, so that when he is 300lbs we wont be getting shoved around. (He get really excited at feeding time and squeals and nudges whoever has the food dish) We have tried a few times with no success using the standard methods of teaching a dog or cat to sit, but to no avail. I am hoping someone here could give me some advice?

I have a pot belly that sits but its because she was raised with 4 puppies so she learned with them. She was inside the house till about 9months but she was potty trained so it was all good.
