How long do you give someone to pick up their new bunny?

If someone says they want one of your babies, how long do you give them to pick it up before offering it to the next person interested in buying? I think I have a buyer wanting to back out of the sale but not wanting to tell me. She was supposed to be here more than 3 hours ago to pick up a Lionhead baby, and I haven't heard anything from her today at all. I don't care if she doesn't want the bunny, but I wish she would tell me instead of just not showing up. It's frustrating to sit home ALL DAY for nothing when it's GORGEOUS outside, and I could have taken the kids to the park or something this afternoon.

From the start I tell them to give me a time and day they will pick up, because I will not be home before then nor 1hr after. So you didn't show, tough luck, you had your chance.
If they are emailing/calling/texing that they are running late or something happened, then that's different. But w/o contact, they forfeit the animal and their chance to get them. I don't wait on people unless I am the one wanting something. Not waiting on people to show up and buy something I can leave to grow out or eat w/o issues.

I'm on the opposite end of this experience, since I'm not selling yet, but as a buyer, I'm keep in contact with the sellers throughout the process--from initial contact, to reserving, to setting up a time for pick-up, confirming the day before or the day of and finally, if I'm running a bit early or late. Some of that is necessary, since I'm typically traveling two or more hours to reach the seller, but the majority of it is just basic courtesy. If a buyer isn't keeping up with something as simple as basic communication and appointments, do you really trust them to take proper care of a rabbit? I wouldn't.

I agree with somebunny2love: if they miss the appointment without explanation, they're out of luck. Relist your bunny and find another buyer, hopefully a more responsible one.

Yes, its an unfortunate issue with many animal sellers. People not showing up or pretending to show interest just to get a tour. I now only wait an hour for them if they don't call, then tough luck.

Well, I got a call from someone else interested in the same bunny just a little bit ago, and she said she could be here within an hour to pick up, so I told her they could have it. (It's a friend, and definitely someone I trust to take care of the baby, so that makes it even better!)
