How many times a year to expect to trim goat hooves?

I just trimmed my first goat hooves this weekend. I don't know who whined more about how long I took to do it, my DH or the goat! Peanut is only 4 months, but his really needed it.

Ours use to have a cheapo dog house that had a shingled roof they were always on... It use to keep theirs down pretty good.
Its not rocky here at all and mine mostly browse so I only do my goat maybe 4 times a year. Usually I just see them laying down on the stairs and go sit next to them and do it.. Quick with no stress.
The earlier I do it in the day the softer they are from the dew
