Hi everyone, I am new to this so please excuse my ignorance. I’ve been preparing a barn for some goats pretty soon. I am looking to get just 2 Nigerian Dwarf does for pets. Don’t plan on breeding or milking as of now, just strictly as pets. I’m trying to find a daily guide on how to feed them once I get them and I’m struggling. I have chickens and if you have those, you know how easy it is to feed them lol. Reading about goats is just overwhelming me. I will have about a 400 sq/ft pen for the two of them to run around in during the day, there won’t be any shrubs or trees for them to nibble on, just grass. So how would I feed them? Would I just give them each a couple pounds of hay daily? Or would I have to give them grain daily as well? Thanks for any help someone can give me.

I know this is an old question, but for me I feed my goats unlimited hay daily and pellets 2 times a day, morning and evening. They are now on a dry lot, so all the grass is gone.
