Loving the herd life
It couldn't have been said better.Laney said:I'm going to put my energy here into saying what an amazing daughter you have. In her mid teens she went her own way and went with a dairy goat when the crowd was going meat.
She's still active as a senior in 4H. She's taking amazing care of her animal, working it and keeping it fit, tame and clean. She is fresh faced and happy and I can tell that the smile is a regular feature on that face.
When my daughter finishes a competition we ask her two questions "Did you do your best?" and "Did you have fun?" if the answer to both is YES, then we tell her how proud we are of her. I can see in your daughter the answer to both of those questions is undoubtedly YES.... so forget the friends and go be proud. She did her best, she had fun and the bonus is she won on top of it all!!!! You can't get better than that.
You've done a great job as a parent, if she wants to do a sanctioned show sign her up, if she wins great, if she doesn't I'm sure she'll handle it just fine. If you're worried about the friends "I told you so" that tells you right there what kind of friends they are.
